In partnership with the Media Business Authority and the Borough of Media, the Media Arts Council (MAC) is leading the creation of a bold new public art installation: a Pride crosswalk in the heart of our community at the intersection of State Street and Plum Street in Media.

This vibrant crosswalk will be more than paint on the street—it will be a symbol of our shared values of inclusion, visibility, and belonging for all residents and visitors, especially our LGBTQ+ community. Each step across those bright colors will affirm: you are welcome here.

For years, MAC has used art to bring people together and tell our community’s story in meaningful, visually engaging ways. Now, we’re taking that mission to the street—literally. By weaving the Pride Flag into this highly visible pedestrian space, we create not only a safer crossing but also a powerful, permanent celebration of diversity and equity in Media’s State Street District.

Your donation makes public art possible. Contributions will support a local LGBTQ artist in designing and installing this mural, ensuring that Media continues to shine as a beacon of creativity, connection, and belonging.

Donate today and help us paint the town with Pride!
