Jagged Journey is an achronological exploration of the contentious relationship between Ginny and the personification of her Epilepsy. As Epilepsy cartwheels through Ginny’s life, trying to be her friend, Ginny must decide what is worth fighting for, even if it means endangering herself. Inspired by real life events, Ginny and Epilepsy’s challenging dynamic plays out over twenty three years as they battle over sex, college, driving, relationships, friendships, marriage, children and, most of all, power.

Internationally produced and recognized playwright Elana Gartner has been produced in person and virtually. Elana’s work was a semi-finalist for the 2021 Eugene O’Neill Playwriting Conference. She participated in the 2021 Kennedy Center Playwriting Initiative and the Great Plains Theatre Conference. Elana is the founding member of EMG Playwriting Workshop, and holds memberships with the Dramatists Guild, Honor Roll!, Manhattan Oracles, and the International Centre for Women Playwrights, where she was a board member for five years. During the pandemic, Elana founded Four Walls Theater which produced socially responsible theatre virtually. Elana has an MFA from Spalding University.

The Media Arts Council (MAC) Play Reading Series was created by playwrights Julie Zaffarano, Dave Ebersole, and Keenya Jackson, in partnership with the MAC to create a space for local playwrights to hear their work read by talented actors and receive feedback from a public audience. The only regular new play reading series in the area, it brings exciting new stories to Delaware County.
