MAC Art Show: Winter’s Edge: Paintings of Iceland by Carrie Barcomb

Works created and inspired by an artist residency on Hrísey Island in Iceland, MAC Artist Collective member Carrie Barcomb experienced the seasonal transition from Autumn to Winter situated a few degrees South of the Arctic Circle. Observing earthly colors of arctic lichen and grass turning from bright greens to brilliant shades of red, orange and gold, with dynamic Arctic skies turning to heavy snowfall of the Northern Winter.
