SUMMER CAMP: Art as Activism with Katie O’Neill

Monday August 4-Friday August 8
9 AM - 3 PM daily
For ages 9-13

Let’s raise awareness locally about what we are passionate about! Campers will work together to discuss how art can become an outlet for activism to promote our shared values in the community. We will discuss the importance of the environment, human and animal rights and social justice while participating in activities to explore different activist art forms like Craftism and Street Art. Students will collectively create art with upcycled supplies in line with our messages about impact and sustainability. We will be partnering with localized community-led organizations for mutual aid support and inspiration. Local educational field trips are offered within walking distance during the week. The last day of camp friends, family and neighbors are invited to share in our artistic activist expressions.

Camp scholarships are available, generously funded by the Sun East Foundation. Please click HERE to apply for scholarship
