The Media Arts Council strives to support the local and regional photographer community and to strengthen the importance of photography as an art form by providing education, events, exhibitions, and public programs.
Our signature photography event, the PhotoEx Juried Photography Exhibit, started in 2007 as a local photography contest entitled Media ICONS and sought to capture the essence and character of Media, PA, while highlighting the hidden talents of the many talented photographers in the area. In 2015, we expanded the focus and demographics of the juried show to include all of North America and beyond.
