Media Arts Council is honored to have award-winning photographer David Sacks serve as the juror of the upcoming Media ICONS Photography Contest.
This contest invites photographers of all levels of experience to submit photos taken in the Borough of Media and expressive of the theme, “Alive & Pulsing.” 30-40 selected works will be invited to participate in a special exhibit during October’s 2nd Saturday Arts Stroll. Four winners will receive cash prizes.
Submissions are still being accepted through September 2nd. Photographers interested in participating should review official rules at www.mediaartscouncil.org/icons-photo-contest.
David Sacks is commercial and advertising photographer who resides in Media and operates his photography studio in New York City. Working for a range of high-profile clients including The New Yorker, National Geographic and Amnesty International, his photography has taken him to 33 countries and has won numerous awards.
The Media ICONS exhibit this year is generously sponsored by Fran and Donna Shields. Opening night will be the Main Event of the 2nd Saturday Arts Stroll in October, honoring the winners with a reception including live music and light fare.
