Architectural Walking Tour, Dec 10, 2PM

Local Expert Leads Architectural Tour of Media

The Media Arts Council is sponsoring an architectural walking tour of Media on Saturday, December 10 at 2 PM.

Beginning at the Delaware County Courthouse, the tour will include a discussion of architectural styles and the history and development of Media, highlighting such buildings as the Delaware County Institute of Science (one of the oldest public buildings in the Borough, constructed in 1867), the PNC Bank building (built in 1899 in French Renaissance Revival architecture), and many other buildings of the Victorian era and 20th century. The tour will be lead by Mary Anne Eves, a member of one of the original families of Media, who originated the tour for the Foundation for Architecture and author of the new book Middletown Township, Delaware County, PA (Arcadia Publishing, 2011).

Tickets are $10, and space is limited.  Don't miss this engaging tour and discussion about Media architecture! For tickets, click here.
