Celebrating Independence and More...Bastille Day!

Our Bastille Day celebration is now less than two weeks away! Please plan on joining us on State Street on Saturday, July 14th starting at 6:00pm.  We'll be celebrating independence, art, and community spirit well into the night and we hope to see you there! This is a free, family-friendly event.

Mark Your Calendars for Bastille Day!

M.A.C. is knee-deep in planning for our exciting Bastille Day celebration, and we wanted to share a few of our plans with you.  Please mark your calendars for July 14th, 6:00-10:30pm, in downtown Media.

Did we see you at 2nd Saturday?

M.A.C. had another successful 2nd Saturday Arts Stroll this past weekend, and we hope that those of you who were able to make it had a great time. The Midnighters performed at the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union to an appreciative crowd. And art and music could be found throughout State Street.

Perspective on Media ICONS: Closely Seen

Media’s slogan is "Everybody's Hometown," and Media has been my adopted hometown for the past fifteen years. Although I was raised in Drexel Hill, just a few miles away, a lot of Media's charms - its vibrant State Street, its varied architecture, its wonderful shops and restaurants – only became readily apparent to me when I bought a house in nearby Middletown Township.

Call For Entries: Media ICONS Photography Contest

An exciting opportunity for all photographers is this year's photo contest and exhibit: Media ICONS - Closely Seen.
Focus your photographic talents on anything within the Borough of Media, PA – Close Up! This is the Media Arts Council's 6th annual juried photo competition, and this year four cash prizes will be awarded with $300 going to the first place winner.

If you can see the possibilities with M.A.C....

You can make a difference by volunteering!
Thanks to all of you who take the time to read about M.A.C. news, to come to our events, to cheer on local artists and performers, and for sharing our interest in bringing diverse and interesting arts experiences to Media.
