The Media Arts Council (M.A.C.) is proud to present its fifth annual Bastille Day Celebration, an art happening for all ages to experience French history of Liberty, Fraternity and Equality, and French/American friendship.
With its launch in 2007, Bastille Day brings together audiences of different ages, ethnicities and races to share a cultural experience that gives us a greater understanding of each other as a community. Bastille Day is a celebration of the French Revolution and the American/French friendship held on the 2nd Saturday of July. Bastille Day is a street fair with theater performers acting out the storming of the Bastille, plein aire artists and live music for dancing. The feature band for this year is the nationally know Leroy Thomas and the Zydeco Runners from Louisiana.
