Come Celebrate French/American Independence!
Theater, Dance, Music, Art, Food, and Fun...

Celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776 during the American Revolution and the Storming of the Bastille Prison in Paris on July 14, 1789 during the French Revolution.

Our most exciting 2nd Saturday is our annual Bastille Day celebration. State Street is transformed into an arts-filled scene from history, featuring professional theater presentations, visual art displays, live music and dancing, children’s activities and crafts, and more.

Join us for a reenactment of the Storming of Bastille, live music, and many street activities including strolling performers, plein air painters, silk painting, tie dying, and more. Our main stage performance features renowned Louisiana band Leroy Thomas and the Zydeco Roadrunners.
